What to do When You Become Overwhelmed as a Single Parent
Let’s be honest. Raising kids alone today is hard. It’s not easy with two parent households. As a single parent there are three things you can do when you become overwhelmed: 1) develop a support system with family, friends, community organizations and governmental agencies, 2) take a parent time out; even if it is only for a few hours and 3). start a planner for writing out schedules and plans.

There Is No Greater Joy than a Parent Seeing their Children's Dreams Come True
My mother had a difficult life. Her death was difficult for my siblings and I not just because she died so young; at the age of 49, but she had cancer and suffered. But no matter what she went through my mother put her needs aside because she wanted my siblings and me to accomplish what we had the ability to accomplish. The hard part for me is that my mother knew she was sick but failed to get treatment as soon as she could. As a single mother my mother made so many sacrifices for me at the expense of her own needs. I founded Memories of MOM Foundation as a dedication to my mother’s life to share what she taught me that resulted in me being a happy, healthy, and successful adult. Memories of MOM Foundation’s goal is to provide single-mothers the tools and resources they need in assisting their children in reaching their career goals.
